Anche il marchio VREDESTEIN stà lanciando sul mercato i copertoni da 29 pollici, sia in versione da camera ad aria che tubeless ready, con pesi che vanno dai 600 grammi ad un massimo di 670 grammi.

Black Panther (2.2)

This more, all-around oriented competition tire has a almost closed center row of knobs and more aggressive and medium spaced side knobs. Available in a wider size (2.2) it comes at 600 g (folding tube type) and 650 g (TLR).

Black Panther xtreme (2.2)

This more aggressive tread is suitable for moist to wet conditions (or by what I see as a grippy front tire). It features extra bite by the robust and moderately spaced knobs and great traction throughout. I have no doubt that this is the most versatile tread of them all. Again in 2.2 it weighs 650 g /tube type) and 690 g (TLR).

Spotted Cat (2.0)

This tire is the micro knobby in the trio. It is designed as a fast competition tire for dry weather which is said to excel on hard surfaces with a loose top layer. The specific V-tread ensures low rolling resistance and traction, while the more robust shoulder knobs provide maximum stability in corners and off-camber situations. With its race orientation it weighs only 560g in tube type and 620 g in TLR (tubeless ready).

Never heard of them before? While being small they have quite some experience in the road scene and can draw from their racer´s experience by the Rabobank-Giant Off-Road Team. Better late than never Vredestein has introduced at this show their three most successful tread designs in 29″er size. Vredestein says of them that they are “particularly suitable for marathon use and on faster cross-country (XC) courses”. All 29″er tires feature a high quality 120 TPI casing and are available in Tube Type and Tubeless Ready versions. The three treads are these:
